Top 5 Greater St. Louis Photography Locations

Life events are happening all the time around us! Newly engaged couples looking for their engagement photos. Families with little ones (or older ones!) wanting to document this stage of their families life. Maybe your a high school senior looking for some senior portraits before your next step in life – college! Or you are a business owner needing some new head shots…. any and all of those reasons calls for a photography session! I wanted to give everyone my top 5 St. Louis photography location ideas and areas surrounding greater St. Louis. Each park has it own unique look that makes it stand out from others. Keep these in mind when you are booking your session!

Forest Park; St. Louis, Missouri

This has got to be the top spot in St. Louis if you ask me. Forest Park is one of a kind not just in St. Louis, but in all of the country. Did you know it is 500 acres larger than Central Park in New York City? You have so many spots within the park to choose from as well. Art Museum, Grand Basin, the Muny, Jewel Box… just to name a few. Here are some photographs from sessions Charisma Photography has taken within the park.

Lafayette Park; St. Louis, Missouri

I think this park is under rated! To me it is in a class of it’s own in the city. Gorgeous wrought iron fences going around the outside of the Lafayette Park and plenty of greenery and open spaces are found inside of the park. This area is surrounded by gorgeous houses and you can even venture into Lafayette Square right next to the park. Here are some photographs from sessions Charisma Photography has taken within the park.

Faust Park; Chesterfield, Missouri

Located further west from St. Louis in Chesterfield, Missouri. Faust Park’s unique look comes from it’s village area. Barns, log cabins and old homes that have been moved from other locations to this park, have made this interesting little town that you can use for your session. Old barns give a great rustic backdrop perfect for that client wanting that look without having their own property to use for the session. Outside of the village area, there are a couple more rustic hidden gems within the park grounds. Here are some photographs from sessions Charisma Photography has taken within the park.

Main Street; St. Charles, Missouri

Going out west some more into St. Charles you have historic Main Street. Main Street is the oldest area along the Missouri River. You have the riverfront to choose from that has a nice green backdrop with the trees and grass as well as a couple of old cabooses that are a parked fixture. Then you can head up over to the cobblestone and get some great looks with all of the old brick buildings in your backdrop. You also have an older warehouse area which gives a little more of a urban/gritty look that is located on the north end of main street. That area looks really cool with high school seniors if you ask me! Here are some photographs from sessions Charisma Photography has taken within the park.

Klondike Park; Augusta, Missouri

The last suggestion is the furthest out west from St. Louis in the gorgeous winery area of Augusta, Missouri. Klondike Park is an old silica sand quarry turned park. You have a gorgeous lake with rocks and cliffs all around you. The sand is white and beautiful which in the winter time looks like snowfall in your photos especially when you are surrounded by the cedar and pine trees that grow throughout the park. Here are some photographs from sessions Charisma Photography has taken within the park.
