I thought I’d do a quick post and tell everyone what I’ve been up to recently. I’m getting ready to begin my 2011 wedding season – this is my first full year of weddings! I am so excited, so honored for those who choose to work with me and I’m ready to get this party started! 🙂 Nicole and Matthew are getting married this Saturday so look for a post with images in the near future. While I was having some down time during these cold, snowy and wet months I have been trying to further myself by learning more about my craft. I am a firm believer that you can never stop learning!
Here are some great online resources to help those like myself that just want to learn more:
- I’ve become a silent stalker of Jasmine Star – world renowned wedding photographer based out of Orange County, CA. Her blog is not only filled with her amazing work but also so very informative to all of her photographer followers.
- The Photo Junkies is actually a St. Louis based photography blog run by two local photographers Donnell Probst and Heather Rega and it caters to, you guessed it, photo junkies!
- The Flash Bus tour is stopping off in STL in April and I will be in attendance – so excited to learn more about lighting!
- Bobbi + Mike are a husband and wife photography team who’s blog feed I also religiously follow. Very creative and fun they are! Bobbi has a formspring account where she answers any question she gets! It’s a great resource as she seems to update it on a weekly basis.
- And last but definitely not least, I always try to attend as many CreativeLive classes that I can that deal with photography, lighting, Photoshop, Lightroom, all that good stuff! For those of you who don’t know of CreativeLive it is a online learning site that hosts live classes which you can attend via instant streaming right in your own home office! And you can purchase the classes as well to go over and over until you’ve gotten them memorized! 🙂
So moral of my story is – there is always time for more learning, to further yourself and in turn you will grow your business! Check back for more posts – coming soon –Â newborn baby Logan, so cute!
