Missy and Spence were my first wedding of 2012. It was actually a rather warm January day – we had full sun and no clouds! They had their wedding at the gorgeous lodge at Quail Ridge Park in Wentzville. We started with some photographs at the park before heading to Main Street St. Charles for the rest. It FINALLY happened the other night – Ben proposed to my little sister Megan. I am so excited! They are hopping for May of 2013 so that means that we will be able to have multiple engagement sessions throughout the year! We just did a quick mini session tonight, I have new lighting equipment that I wanted to try out and they we more than happy to be my models! It was freezing outside – a mere 27 degrees so we kept the coats on and the session short!

Meet young Owen. He was 2 weeks of age when we had his session. Mom and Dad live in Columbia and are Mizzou fans as well as St. Louis Cardinals fans (as any great baseball fan is) so we made sure to have some shots that showcase Owens future college and favorite baseball team!

Here is my last session of 2011 – Katrina contacted me early December and asked if I would be available over the holidays for a family session with her extended family. Everyone was in town together so it was the perfect time to capture the group. I had a great time spending a little of Christmas with everyone – thank you for your hospitality!

Due to my Colorado trip my blog was behind and this is now my last wedding post from my 2011 season. Amber is originally from St. Louis but lives in Boston with Andrew (where he was born and raised). The couple flew in town back in July and we had their “St. Louis themed engagement session“. They are a fun, creative, energetic couple that I had a blast with at both the engagement session and the wedding. They found the perfect location for their day – The City Museum! Fair warning, this blog post may be a little long but well worth it! Tina is my close friend Ginger’s little sister – as well as being a friend of mine! I had been looking forward to shooting their wedding for over a year! You may remember their engagement session fall of 2010 (visit it here). The day was full of laughter, crying and an all around great time. I’ve widdled down my favorite images to the ones you see below to tell the story of the day.

Meet Emily, Jared and adorable little Sophia (also known as Sophie). I met up with them for a winter session this month, just in time to get some family shots in before Christmas! Little Sophie uses cochlear implants to hear, Emily has a blog that talks about her journey to hearing. I quickly learned that Sophie is a precious little girl, she listens so well, every time we asked her to smile she was all about it!

I met with Kelly and Ben in November for one of my last fall sessions before the weather changes. It was a very windy day but Kelly was a great sport about it!
